As Sean Connery once said "Never say never!"
Without trying to defend him, what I think he was refering to was contemporaries from the 80s who go out on these "80s nostalgia" tours. Its a matter of opinion whether these have any value or not but they are not harming anyone. Artistic integrity does not pay many bills when no one is listening! |

i know what he means, he doesent want to join the 80's bandwagon who just continuously do greatest hit tours
The police tour was a waste, they should have made a new album |

I was a huge Police fan back in their heyday. I could have gone to see them in Auckland but thought fuck it. $200 a ticket just did not do it for me. They did it purely for the money which is sad. To pretend it was for fans when you have waited 25 years is a bit hard to swallow, especially as you say there was never a suggestion of making a new LP.
